The musicians in Sonore String Quartet play together in orchestral concerts, theatre, operas and other chamber music ensembles as well as performing as the Sonore String Quartet.
As a quartet, we have played in many prestigious venues including Windsor Castle, Blenheim Palace, The Bath Assembly Rooms, The Institute of Directors, Leeds Castle, Tattershall Castle, Kirtlington Park House, Fenton House, Farnham Castle and The Vineyard, Newbury. Members of the quartet have also performed in prestigious venues in the UK such as the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, St. David’s Hall.
Individual players have worked with well-known conductors such as Sir Neville Marriner, Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Sir Alexander Gibson, Owain Arwel-Hughes, Elgar Howarth, Arthur Davidson to name but a few, and also with the Bochmann and Chilingirian Quartets.
On rare occasions, it may be necessary to change the personnel within the quartet. If this occurs, we will use a trusted colleague to ensure your enjoyment of our music making is not altered in any way.
