Birthday Celebration
I recently asked both Kathryn and Neil to play a mixture of classical music to my father and some friends to celebrate his birthday. I gave a list of composers my father likes to listen to, and Kathryn devised a beautiful program for them to listen to.
The playing was exquisite, tuneful and pleasurable to the hear. We all had a brilliant afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Both Kathryn and Neil were professional and personable, and I would recommend the musicians to anyone. Thank you.

We can't thank Sonore String Quartet enough for bringing our wedding day to life. They played for us as guests were arriving, during the ceremony and our drinks reception. Their rendition of Canon in D was spine tingling- ly sensational! From start to finish they were a joy to work with. They have an extensive list of classic and modern songs so plenty of options for our drinks reception, and were kind enough to ensure they played a few of our requests before we got whisked away for photos. In the lead up, Kathryn was very happy to have a call to explain how it all worked at their end and communication a few weeks before the day was also very reassuring. Overall, very organised and beautiful performers - we would highly recommend!

Sonore string quartet were absolutely incredible, they made our day so special. We absolutely loved having them play on our wedding day especially before the ceremony, while Steph was walking down the aisle and during the canapés. They learned a song on request specially for Steph's walk down the aisle and it was beautiful, all of our guests were so excited about them playing and it made the day perfect.

These lovely people played at our outdoor wedding ceremony and drinks reception at Wasing Park a few weeks ago and they were AMAZING! They did a mixture of old and and new songs, a lot of people said it gave them Bridgerton vibes as they have a lot of modern music on the strings! Big compliment! They added a really romantic atmosphere to the ceremony and a wonderful warm feel to the drinks reception. Kathryn and Neil played at our drinks reception at our wedding in June and were fantastic! They played a wide range of songs (some classic, some modern covers) which we selected and provided the perfect background music for our summer wedding. Wow! What can I say? I don’t think any words I write will do justice for just how incredible Sonore string quartet are and how special they made our wedding on the 18.12.21 at Claridges. From start to finish they have been so warm, friendly and professional. They are extremely organised and keep on top of everything from booking, to song selections, to the running of the day and all the logistics. They made everything so easy and I had no stress or worry from the moment I booked I knew they were going to be amazing and they were. Everyone on the day could not compliment them enough they are extremely talented musicians. If you want want to make your wedding or event special then Sonore are for you! Wedding Proposal - Quartet
So, I was looking for a string quartet for my proposal event and I saw and reviewed the Sonore String Quartet and was impressed by their fantastic reviews.
I am here to add to those reviews, they were absolutely amazing!! Before I'd even confirmed the booking, I was in touch with Kathryn about the event and a tailored list of songs that I wanted for the proposal. She said that if they didn't know it, they'd obtain the sheet music for it so they could perform it, nothing was too much trouble.
The payment transaction was a doddle and I was provided a copy of the invoice. Then, they liaised with the venue to establish their entry (a fair bit of sneaking around was required as to not give the game away!) and as we walked up the pathway towards the area booked out, oh, such sweet music!
Luckily, my now fiancée didn't twig that they were there for her, allowing us to have time to pick the right moment to give myself a well earned knee ache!
Sonore String Quartet brought such a degree of elegance and classiness to the event and made such beautiful music for all my family to enjoy. And to boot, they were absolute troopers on quite a blustery, cold day. They are a credit to their profession, book them, you definitely won't regret it, I certainly don't! Wedding Ceremony - trio
Sonorestrings completed our wedding ceremony!!! Kathryn and the rest of the team were so lovely and accommodating to our constantly changing plans throughout the pandemic. We ended up having an intimate smaller church ceremony that was on a live stream to all our family and friends across the world. Our virtual guests absolutely LOVED the music choices ranging from classical, to film, to hymns, and finally including Bollywood classics during the signing of the register which was a lovely nod to our Indian culture! Even our Priest and the Church Stewards were so delighted to have the strings trio play as it's something they have never had at a wedding in the Church before! Reliable and outstanding musicians - We booked Sonore String Quartet to play at our wedding in the South of France during the summer of 2019 and are so glad that we did. They were reliable and helpful in the lead up to our wedding. My wife and I were not sure on which songs to have and they helped us to choose the right ones for us and were very understanding. On the day of our wedding they turned up early in plenty of time. We did not have to worry about them and all of our guests remarked on how well they played and how professional they were. Sonore String Quartet performed at our wedding on Saturday 4th May 2019 in Shrewsbury and we couldn’t be happier!They played as our guests arrived, the ceremony and reception drinks. From the initial enquiry we were extremely happy with the personal service we received from Kathryn, responses were helpful and quick - even when we were delayed ourselves.
We took a while to decide on our song choices, but Kathryn and the rest of the group were very accommodating and played ...a huge range of styles for us, from a suggestion from the grooms grandad to learning a song especially for the groom (Final Fantasy sound track) which he absolutely loved for before the ceremony. On to classical and modern pop for the rest.
Even though the sun was shining the air was cold being an outdoor ceremony but they all played through it like troopers to enable us to have our dream ceremony.
Once again, a huge thank you to all of you in Sonore String Quartet for making the journey to be a part of our wedding day, both the two of us and our guests LOVED having you there and listening to you play.
We highly recommend booking with Sonore for any event with their diverse repertoire, skills and great personal service.

Just wanted to say thank you for organising the very memorable music for our wedding on 6 April. Everyone complimented both Giles's playing in the church and the trio in the pub - sadly we missed them in The Rosendale as we went to have some photos taken nearby but I will never forget Giles playing Pachelbel's Canon as I walked down the aisle and also the two Elgar tunes. I know our guests enjoyed the trio in The Rosendale very much.
